COMPUTER RESOURCES

InfoCentre

The materials in the Anthem Library Media Center can be accessed from any networked computer on the campus including the computers in the LMC.  To use, click on the ANInfoCentre icon.  Type in the Title, Author, Subject, or Keyword for the materials you want, and then click on the appropriate icon.  Write down the call number (located directly underneath the title) for the item that you want to find.  Paper and pencils are located beside each computer.  The call number will tell you where the item is located on the shelves.  Books with REF at the beginning of the call number are not to be removed from the LMC.  Please take notes from the page or pages you need.  Materials with CD, VT, CAS or EQP are available for staff use only.

Desktop Applications

Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Kidspirations, and Accelerated Reader are available on most networked computers.  A variety of other programs can be accessed from individual computers.

COMPUTER USE

Patrons must have on file a signed Internet and E-Mail User Agreement before they will be allowed to use the computers.  All privileges on the Network can be canceled for violations of the DVUSD Net agreement.  At Anthem, students are not allowed to play computer games in the LMC.  The Internet is used for school related work ONLY.  Students should ask permission before printing.  Printing is saved for schoolwork only.   When printing, students should use 12 pt. or 14 pt. regular print.  Bold or larger print should only be used for headings or subheadings.  A maximum of 5 pages per student may be printed in one day.
